Er studierte Mandoline und Gitarre am Konservatorium f\u00fcr Musik und Tanz in Argenteuil bei Mario Monti und in der Meisterklasse von Alberto Ponce.<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div class=\"sppb-person-introtext\">Florentino Calvo hat sich sehr mit der zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Musik f\u00fcr Mandoline besch\u00e4ftigt. Insbesondere mit dem Trio Polycordes (Mandoline, Harfe und Gitarre) hat er viele Zeitgen\u00f6ssische Werke aufgef\u00fchrt und aufgenommen.<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div class=\"sppb-person-introtext\">Aber auch die klassische und romantische Musik f\u00fcr Mandoline \u2013 Beethoven, Leone, Calace \u2013 spielt er gerne. Neben Aufnahmen als Duo mit Cembalo, Klavier oder Gitarre gibt es auch mehrere Solo-Mandolinen CDs mit den wichtigsten Werken f\u00fcr Mandoline solo. Florentino dirigiert auch verschiedene Orchester in Frankreich, unter anderem das Ensemble MG21.<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element Dort erhielt er den Premier Prix (Ersten Preis) in der Mandolinenklasse seines Lehrers Mario Monti. An derselben Institution studierte er au\u00dferdem Gitarre bei Ma\u00eetre Alberto Ponce sowie Analyse und Harmonielehre bei G\u00e9rard Castani\u00e9.<\/p><p>Als Solist und Orchestermusiker tritt er regelm\u00e4\u00dfig mit dem Orchester der Op\u00e9ra National de Paris, dem Ensemble Intercontemporain, dem Orchestre National de France, dem Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, dem Orchestre de Paris sowie weiteren renommierten Ensembles wie Ars Nova, TM+, L\u2019Itin\u00e9raire und 2E2M auf.<\/p><p>Als Mitbegr\u00fcnder des Trio Polycordes mit der Harfenistin Isabelle Daups und dem Gitarristen Jean-Marc Zvellenreuther widmet er sich vor allem der zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Musik. Ihm sind mehr als f\u00fcnfzig Werke gewidmet worden. Gemeinsam mit der Cembalistin Maria-Lucia Barros bildet er das Duo Spirituoso, das das originale Repertoire f\u00fcr Mandoline und Generalbass des 18. Jahrhunderts auf Nachbauten historischer Instrumente interpretiert. Seit 1990 musiziert er au\u00dferdem mit dem Gitarristen Jean-Marc Zvellenreuther in einem Duo, dessen Repertoire Originalwerke, Urauff\u00fchrungen und Bearbeitungen umfasst. Seit 2005 bildet er gemeinsam mit Aline Zylberajch das Duo A Piacere, das sich der Wiederentdeckung des originalen Repertoires f\u00fcr diese Besetzung widmet. Sein Interesse an Zupfinstrumenten f\u00fchrte ihn dazu, in Zusammenarbeit mit verschiedenen Musikern und Komponisten auch Instrumente wie Mandola, Mandoloncello, Bouzouki und Oud zu spielen.<\/p><p>Seit 1991 leitet Florentino Calvo das Zupforchester L\u2019Estudiantina d\u2019Argenteuil, seit 2000 au\u00dferdem das Orchestre \u00e0 Plectres Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes. Seit 2009 steht er zudem dem Orchestre \u00e0 Plectre du Sud-Ouest sowie dem Ensemble MG21 vor, dem einzigen professionellen Zupforchester Frankreichs. Ziel dieses Ensembles ist die F\u00f6rderung des Mandolinenrepertoires mit besonderem Schwerpunkt auf zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Werken und Urauff\u00fchrungen.<\/p><p>Als Leiter der Zupfinstrumenten-Kommission innerhalb der Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration Musicale de France engagiert sich Florentino Calvo intensiv f\u00fcr die F\u00f6rderung des Amateurmusizierens. Seit 1995 betreut er gemeinsam mit Ma\u00eetre Alberto Ponce einen internationalen Mandolinenkurs an der Fondation Kr\u00fcger (Mas de La Coume) in Mosset.<\/p><p>Seine Offenheit gegen\u00fcber unterschiedlichsten musikalischen Begegnungen und sein breit gef\u00e4chertes Interesse f\u00fchrten ihn auch zur Arbeit f\u00fcr Film und Theater. So wirkte er unter anderem an Filmmusikproduktionen \u2013 insbesondere mit dem Komponisten Alexandre Desplat \u2013 mit. F\u00fcr das Theater war er an der Urauff\u00fchrung und den zahlreichen Tourneen von \u201eMomo\u201c von Pascal Dusapin in der Inszenierung von Andr\u00e9 Wilms beteiligt. Au\u00dferdem wirkte er an der Produktion \u201eR\u00eaves d\u2019amour\u201c mit den Schauspielern Andr\u00e9 Salzet und Laurent Caruana der Theatergruppe Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Carpe Diem mit. Das St\u00fcck basiert auf Texten von Guy de Maupassant und wurde von Gilbert Epron inszeniert.<\/p><p>Seit 1988 ist Florentino Calvo Professor f\u00fcr Mandoline am Conservatoire \u00e0 Rayonnement D\u00e9partemental (CRD) Argenteuil.
