Er war Editor beim Verlag &#8222;Plucked String Editions&#8220; von Norman Levine und hat dort eigene Kompositionen und historische Werke f\u00fcr Mandoline ver\u00f6ffentlicht. Er komponierte auf Norman Levines Anregung seine Komposition &#8222;The Red Bach Book&#8220; &#8211; 3 Rags after Bach. Neil Gladd erforscht intensiv die Geschichte der Mandoline. Als Mitarbeiter der &#8222;Library of Congress&#8220; hatte er Zugriff auf den Bestand dieser Bibliothek. F\u00fcr die Bibliothek und seine private Sammlung hat er mehr als 600 historische Aufnahmen auf Schellack-LPs und Edison Zylindern gesammelt. Bei youtube findet man einige seiner Entdeckungen.
