Er hat bei Takashi Ochi Mandoline gelernt. 1991 hat er zusammen mit dem Gitarristen Eberhard Bronnenmayer sein erstes Album &#8222;Mandoline und Gitarre hell erklingen&#8220; aufgenommen. Das Album enth\u00e4lt \u00fcberwiegend popul\u00e4re Musikst\u00fccke f\u00fcr Mandoline. Klaus Wuckelt hat mehr als 10 Alben mit Mandoline in verschiedenen Besetzungen aufgenommen. So spielte er Duos mit Gitarre (Sandeh J. Ohnemus, Christoph Michael Pesch, Arnold Sesterheim), mit dem Klaus Wuckelt Trio, Trios mit Horn und Gitarre, Trios f\u00fcr zwei Mandolinen und Gitarre (mit Sonja Widemer), Duos mit Hammerklavier und auch ein Weihnachtsalbum mit dem Liedermacher Thomas Friz. Viele Jahre war er Konzertmeister im W\u00fcrttembergischen Zupforchester und Solist bei vielen Konzerten. Klaus Wuckelt spielt neben der deutschen Mandoline auch eine speziell angefertigte Mandoline und eine K\u00f6nigslyra, beide gebaut von Christoph Michael
