Er spielt typisch italienische Mandolinenmusik, klassische Mandoline, aber auch Bluegrass, Jazz und Weltmusik. Er tritt regelm\u00e4\u00dfig bei Mandolinenfestivals auf, aber auch bei vielen anderen Veranstaltungen. Dar\u00fcber hinaus versucht er mit dazu beizutragen dass die Mandoline in ihrem Heimatland Italien eine h\u00f6here Wertsch\u00e4tzung bekommt. Auf der ganzen Welt gibt er Kurse f\u00fcr Mandoline, besonders aber in den USA und Italien wo er jedes Jahr eine internationale Mandolin Academy veranstaltet. Sehr interessant sind auch die Videos der Reihe &#8222;L\u2019ITALIA DEI 1000 MANDOLINI&#8220; in denen Carlo Aonzo die Geschichte der Mandoline in verschiedenen Regionen Italiens
