Matt Flinner ist ein amerikanischer Musiker. Er gilt als einer der f\u00fchrenden Mandolinisten und als einer der besten Komponisten f\u00fcr neue akustische Musik und Roots-Musik. Er begann mit dem Banjo mit dem er 1990 den National Banjo Contest in Winfield, Kansas gewann. Im Jahr darauf gewann er den Mandolinenpreis. Er ist mit einer Vielzahl von Bluegrass-, New-Acoustic-, Klassik- und Jazz-K\u00fcnstlern auf Tournee gegangen und hat Aufnahmen gemacht, darunter Tim O’Brien, Frank Vignola, Steve Martin, Darrell Scott, das Modern Mandolin Quartet, Dave Douglas, Leftover Salmon, Alison Brown, The Ying Quartet, Tony Trischka, Darol Anger und das Nashville Chamber Orchestra.
