Scots Singer of the Year 2023 (MG Alba Trad Music Awards) Iona Fyfe performs a heart-warming full set of her songs as part of her much-loved trio, joined by Graham Rorie (Gnoss) on guitar and fiddle and Rory Matheson (FARA) on keys.

This very special gig was filmed by TRADtv as part of Showcase Scotland’s ‚The Visit‘ event at Carnegie Hall in Clashmore, away up in a very remote and very beautiful part of the Scottish Highlands.

Iona Fyfe ist eine Sängerin aus Schottland. Im Jahr 2023 wurde sie als Scots Singer of the Year ausgezeichnet.

Sie tritt öfters – wie auch in diesem Konzert – zusammen mit dem Mandolinisten Graham Rorie auf. Am Klavier spielt Rory Matheson

Graham Rorie spielt neben der Mandoline auch eine „Tenorcaster“, eine elektrische Tenorgitarre.

Finally, the latest addition, my @eastwoodguitars Tenorcaster.

Tuned in octave mandolin tuning with a 23” scale this baby guitar has been great fun to learn and add to some recent records. 2 single coil pickups with 3-way switching make it super versatile. Just fitted some new @daddarioandco NYXL strings (.42, .32, .18, .11). Use a large #wegenpicks plectrum for this one.

Running this through either my @fender Blues Junior or a simple DI set up through a @tcelectronic Spark boost drive paired with a @strymonengineering Flint spring reverb and tremolo.
